Every name tool prints “available”. Almost none of them ask.

Anyone who has named a company knows the loop. A generator hands you a list. You fall for one. You go to register it and it has been taken since 2009. Back to the list. The word “available” was never true; it was a placeholder the tool never bothered to check.

The check is not hard. Every extension has a registry, and the registry knows exactly what is registered. It just takes a moment per name, and a moment per name is slower than printing a word. Most tools chose speed. Webault chose the check.

Everything else follows from that. It is why a round takes seconds instead of milliseconds. It is why names the registry cannot confirm are marked unverified and hidden rather than optimistically listed. It is why Webault covers 532 extensions and not a rounder, larger number: those are the ones you can actually buy.

It is also why Webault does not sell domains. A tool that profits from the sale has a reason to show you more names. Webault has none, so it shows you fewer, and they are real.
