Do I need a card to try Webault?
No. Every account gets one hunt a day, up to 20 domains checked, without entering a card.
One free hunt a day. Packs from $9 when a day needs more. No seats, no minimum, nothing charged for a name the registry wouldn’t confirm — and nothing at all for the name itself, which is yours.
A plan buys a number of domains checked at the registry, and a cap on how many one hunt may spend. There is no seat count and no monthly minimum.
| Plan | Price | Domains | Per hunt | Per domain | Billing |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 20 a day | 20 | — | No card |
| Starter | $9 | 1,000 | 200 | $0.0090 | One-time |
| Builder | $29 | 5,000 | 200 | $0.0058 | One-time |
| Studio | $79 | 20,000 | 200 | $0.0040 | One-time |
| Pro | $24/mo | 10,000 a month | 500 | $0.0024 | Monthly |
Packs are one-time and differ only in size. Pro is monthly, and adds a bigger per-hunt cap, CSV export and unlimited history.
Which one you want depends on how many names you need. A founder naming one company usually finishes inside Starter: a few hundred checks across a handful of briefs is an afternoon’s work and a shortlist. Someone working a whole category — an agency running briefs for several clients, or a domain investor sweeping a theme for brandable inventory — burns through that in a sitting and lives on Studio or Pro, where CSV export makes the results something you can sort, price and keep.
A hunt is a run of up to six rounds, each writing fresh names and checking them. The per-hunt number is the ceiling for the whole run, not for one round.
Only a straight answer is billed. Taken costs the same as registrable, because the lookup was the work. A name that times out or comes back ambiguous is marked unverified, and unverified names are never charged for and never shown as free.
Nothing here is metered, so running out cannot produce a charge. A balance at zero stops the next hunt and offers a top-up. It never becomes a bill.

Every plan, the free one included, checks every name at the registry and hides what it cannot confirm. Nobody gets a better answer for paying more.
One hunt a day, up to 20 domains checked, no card. The check is identical to a paid one: live at the registry, per extension, per name.
Twenty domains is one honest round — enough to see what the registry actually says about the names you had in mind.
Webault is not a registrar. The price shown next to a registrable name is what a registrar charges to register it, and you pay that to the registrar. What is on this page is the whole of what Webault earns from you, which is why it has no reason to show you a name that is not genuinely free.
It also means there is no second bill later. A name you register is yours outright — to build on, to hold, or to sell on the aftermarket for whatever someone will pay. Webault takes no commission from the registrar, no share of a resale, and claims no rights over any name it wrote for you.
No. Every account gets one hunt a day, up to 20 domains checked, without entering a card.
No. Nothing on Webault is metered, so there is no mechanism that could produce an overage charge. A balance at zero stops the next hunt and offers a top-up; it never becomes a bill.
No. A pack is a balance, not a subscription: the domains you bought sit on the account until you spend them.
Pro runs to the end of the period you have already paid for, and any domains still on the balance stay usable after that.
No. Webault has no share in any domain you register and no commission on a resale. The plan price on this page is the entire commercial relationship.
Polar is the merchant of record for Webault, so checkout, invoices and any sales tax or VAT are handled there. Prices on this page are in US dollars, before tax.
